From March 4, 2026, customers making purchases using the app can completely stop receiving paper transaction confirmations. This process is voluntary and requires the user to activate the appropriate option in the profile settings section. Once the service is enabled, every transaction where the app's code is scanned will be recorded digitally, and the purchase document will be available in the transaction history on the phone. The introduction of this functionality places Żabka alongside market leaders such as Biedronka and Lidl, who have previously offered similar digital solutions to their customers. Experts point out that this move aims not only to improve shopping comfort by eliminating the problem of accumulating paper slips in wallets but, above all, to fulfill sustainable development goals. Reducing the use of thermal paper, which is often not recyclable, constitutes a significant environmental argument in the company's strategy. Furthermore, the digital format facilitates the process of potential complaints and returns, as the proof of purchase is always at hand and does not fade. The technical infrastructure has been prepared so that the generation of the digital document occurs in real-time.
