At the MWC 2026 trade fair, Xiaomi presented its latest flagship smartphones – the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra models. These devices, created in collaboration with the legendary Leica brand, offer breakthrough solutions in optics, including a mechanical zoom in the Ultra version. Simultaneously, new tablets, smartwatches, and the exclusive Leitzphone debuted, aiming to strengthen the Chinese giant's position in the premium segment of the European market.
During this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Xiaomi launched a broad product offensive, directly targeting the European market, including Poland. The main highlight was the presentation of the Xiaomi 17 series smartphones. The Ultra version attracts particular attention thanks to an innovative photographic system bearing the "Leica" logo, featuring a mechanical zoom and advanced artificial intelligence algorithms optimizing night photos. This device is positioned as an uncompromising photographic phone, set to rival top products from Apple and Samsung. Alongside the flagship, the standard Xiaomi 17 model was presented, which, despite its smaller size, offers significant improvements in battery life and computing power. Independently of Xiaomi's launch, the Leica brand introduced its own device to the global market – the Leitzphone, based on Xiaomi technology but with a stronger focus on purist photography. German industry media emphasize that this is currently the most photographically advanced smartphone available commercially. In the companion device segment, Xiaomi presented tablets from the Pad 8 series (in standard and Pro versions), characterized by a slim chassis while maintaining high performance. In the Polish offer, they debut with attractive pre-order bonuses, including accessories for symbolic amounts. The collaboration between Xiaomi and the Leica brand began in 2022, after the German optics manufacturer ended its long-term partnership with Huawei. Since then, each successive generation of Xiaomi flagships has become a platform for Leica's most innovative lenses and filters. The offering is complemented by accessories designed to create a cohesive ecosystem.
